20mm Dia x 5mm with 4mm hole
20mm Dia x 5mm with 4mm hole
Size: 20mm diameter x 5mm thick with 4mm countersunk hole for mounting
Quantity: 4
Grade: N45 Neodymium
Pole location: Poles on flat faces. 2 with north pole countersunk, 2 with south pole countersunk, so they can attract or repel.
Pull/Push: About 8kg to another magnet or 2.4mm sheet steel. 12kg if stacked in pairs. Resistance to sliding is about 1/3 that.
Notes:
- About 10 times more pull than the traditional, grey, ferrite type
- This type of magnet never weakens with age
- Triple plated for durability: Ni/Cu/Ni
Potential Uses:
- Simple mounting without adhesive
- Attaching items firmly to steel surfaces
- Tool holders
- Door closures. One facing another, or faces gliding past without touching
- Secure display of work-site documents. (Attach to a short dowel for easy handling)
- Industrial fixtures
Safety Information
Safety Information
Neodymium magnets are incredibly strong for their size, so please handle them with care.
- Keep away from children. Two or more magnets, if swallowed, can attract to each other inside the body and cause serious, potentially life-threatening injury. Seek immediate medical attention if a magnet is swallowed.
- Watch your fingers. Magnets snap together with real force and can pinch skin or damage clothing.
- Wear eye protection. The material is brittle and can chip or shatter on impact, so take care during handling and avoid letting magnets collide freely.
- Keep clear of sensitive electronics. Credit cards, pacemakers, and other magnetically sensitive devices should be kept a safe distance from the magnetic field.
Why Buy From Dangerous Magnets
Why Buy From Dangerous Magnets
We're New Zealand's specialist supplier of neodymium (rare earth) magnets, based in Auckland and trading since 2009.
- Auckland-based and NZ-owned. A genuine New Zealand trader you can deal with directly.
- 5000+ positive Trademe reviews. A track record built on honest dealing and consistent service.
- 45+ sizes in stock, from small discs to heavy-duty blocks.
- Engineer-led advice. Our team holds qualified mechatronics engineering degrees, so the guidance you get is grounded in real technical knowledge, not guesswork.
- Quality you can rely on. Many bargain-priced magnets sold online are lower grade than advertised (often N35 instead of N45 or N52) or aren't genuine neodymium at all, so the "strong magnet" you ordered underperforms. We work with long-standing suppliers we trust, and we stand behind the grade and strength of every magnet we sell.
