Product Details
Size: 5mm diameter x 0.5mm thick - the thinnest that we sell
Quantity: 80
Grade: N45 Neodymium
Pole location: Poles on flat faces
Pull/Push: About 100grams to another magnet or to sheet steel. Resistance to sliding is about 1/3 that. Between 2 sheets of steel the pull is several times more. Stack 2 for twice the pull.
Notes:
- So slim that they break easily
- A single magnet can just hold an A4 sheet of paper from sliding down a whiteboard
- The photo shows a single unit glued to a match head, holding up five 50-cent coins - amazing!
- About 10 times more pull than the traditional, grey, ferrite type
- This type of magnet never weakens with age
- Triple plated for durability: Ni/Cu/Ni
Potential Uses:
- Latches and closures
- Where being really thin is a more consideration
Warnings:
- Not for kids! Two or more, if swallowed, can lethally puncture gut tissue.
- They can pinch skin and cut clothing.
- The material is brittle. It can chip or break during collisions. Eye protection advised.
- For credit cards, pacemakers etc, keep at a distance where the field is negligible.
